Painting Budapest 05: Famous spots
I have recently returned (last week of October 2014) from a painting trip to Budapest, and have made already some blog posts about motifs from Budapest, such as beautiful houses, churches, etc. Today I want to show you some of the most touristic spots of the city, squares, monuments and buildings.
I will start with one of the most beautiful archer statues I have ever seen, by Hungarian sculptor Hollo Barnabas.
Another wonderful motif from the City Park, one of the most beautiful and peaceful park I have ever been, perhaps even THE most beautiful and spectacular!
I was very emotional about the Danube it as to me a kind of mystic river. My head is full of romantic ideas and fantasies about it! I would have loved to take a boat trip on it, but I was there at the wrong time, and above all, with not enough time. But I don’t abandon the dream…
By City Park again stands that amazing monument
The Parliament, certainly one of the most impressive buildings from Budapest… it goes on and go like the part one can see on my painting, but mainly on the part facing the Danube…“The Parliament Square”
One of the most famous and impressive from the many bridges crossing the Danube in Budapest, “Chain Bridge”…
And finally “Buda Castle”, on the other side of the Danube, which one can accede by foot or with the lovely funicular… not as playful as many other buildings from Budapest, perhaps a bit too classical for my taste…
These paintings of Budapest, and many other artworks from Hungary, are available directly online as Giclee print in many different dimensions, on paper, canvas or metal, and also as greeting cards.
