Great Ayton Paintings
The Tour Of Yorkshire 01
In September 2016 I did a painting tour of North Yorkshire, visiting many beautiful towns and villages. But this was no ordinary trip – I was accompanied by my English friend Ann who lives in the area and acted as guide – and my famous Teddy Bear – Truffle McFurry!
The result of this trip will be a series of books, currently well underway, illustrated by many of my paintings of the region, and accompanied by an unusual 3-way narrative where we see Yorkshire through the eyes of not only myself and Ann’s, but also Truffle’s – whose sideways look at life is quite hilarious!
I will do a series of blogs, featuring each step of the trip. We started in Great Ayton, the town of Captain Cook. And so begins the second chapter of the first volume:
We are currently searching for a publisher of these books, starting with Volume 1, featuring Great Ayton, Ugthorpe, Staithes, Runswick Bay, Sandsend, Whitby and Robin Hood’s Bay.
In addition we are looking for a magazine or newspaper interested in doing an interview about that trip, or a series of articles.
If you are interested, please contact us.
Great Ayton paintings, as well as many other paintings from North Yorkshire and England are available directly online as Giclee print in many different dimensions, on paper, canvas or metal, as greeting cards, but also printed on many home decor items such as pillows, pouches, duvet covers, blankets, etc… Please click on each image to go to my shop online.
