Painting The Dreams
I have always had an intense dream life. Nights dreams I mean: daydreams are not my thing, as I really live with my two feet firmly planted on the earth and my two eyes wide open. But at night my inner spirits seem to sprout wings and take flight towards other universes: the dreams are extremely creative, colourful, surrealist and poetic. As I was younger and immensely curious to understand who I was and how I functioned, I trained myself to remember my dreams, feeling sure they were the the key to myself. I wrote them down, sometimes in their raw form, without any logic or plot, other times in the form of short stories, sometimes poetry. I filled thousands of pages with my dreams and I would now give a lot to find again all these dream-books I left behind while moving around Europe! Nowadays I only rarely use words to express myself , and especially my secret inner life. Words are too concrete and too dangerous, I prefer art!
My dreamscape, and many others, are available directly online as Giclee print in many different dimensions, on paper, canvas or metal, and also as greeting cards.

The creation process of the Dreamscapes is generally like this: I start putting colours on the paper, watercolour, acrylics, gouache, whatever is to hand, and after a while I look at what is coming out and I try to remind myself of one of my dreams, associating the more or less abstract shapes to elements of the dream. And when I have found a dream, I complete the initial painting. The result might not have anything to do with the original dream, or with the images I saw in the dream, but somehow they are my dreams translated in my art. And sometimes, looking at them later on, I cannot help thinking that I am really WEIRD!
