I don’t really know the generalization for these still life which are not flowers. Things such as clothes, accessories, toys, dishes, fruits, food, glasses, bottles, etc. I could have called them “stuff”, a word I quite like and found appropriate, but I guess it would not sound serious enough, so I opted for the more clinical”objects”.
As I wrote somewhere, I love to paint EVERYTHING. Well, almost everything… wouldn’t want to paint insects somehow! Anyway I like to paint still life, and especially the objects, all that inanimate stuff around us. And not only because they don’t move and consequently are easier to catch. I love to try to find and capture the unique character of objects surrounding us in the daily life, and translate it into a nice painting. Unfortunately, the same problem arises as with flowers: I don’t take enough time for these kind of paintings. Everything in life is a question of priorities, and however I am setting them, it seems that still life is not at the top of my list.
Having said that, I regularly take time to paint some coffee mugs. Mugs from our beautiful collection or mugs in which we get our coffee served when we travel and make a coffee break. I publish some of them in this page, but you can see them all in the gallery “Coffee With Art”
These object paintings, and many others, are available directly online as Giclee print in many different dimensions, on paper, canvas or metal, and also as greeting cards.
