Now – here we can speak about passion again: I love sport, all kinds of sports, actively and passively! Sport is pure movement, and most of the time, bold colours, so of course every ingredient is there to attract me as an artist too. I was once interviewed by an art student writing for her final exam about my sport paintings. Among all the pertinent questions she asked me, the most interesting to me was the following one:
“What inspired your sport paintings? How do you manage to show all the energy and movement of a particular event in your painting?”
These sport paintings, and many others, are available directly online as Giclee print in many different dimensions, on paper, canvas or metal, and also as greeting cards.

I really did not need to think too long about the answer!
“… I simply love sports, and I was, and still am myself, quite an active sportwoman ( swimming daily, much scuba diving in the past, skiing, tennis, much golf, windsurfing, skateboarding, cycling and even kick boxing). I love and need movement, and this is why sport is a basic component of my life. Whatever I paint, even when I paint a still life like a simple coffee cup, it always bristles with movement… yes, especially my coffee cups – they love to dance on the paper!
When I paint sport, because I know so much about it and my body and brain are so used to movement, I suppose that movement and energy are automatically transmitted into my paintings. I don’t do it consciously…”
