Painting Italy

I had visited Italy in a previous life, when I was not yet an artist, or at least not a practising one. And as always, I regret so much all these artistically  wasted years!

But of course you cannot pretend being a landscape painter and not paint Italy. So, in Spring 2011, we took our Boomobile and drove there, travelling for 6 weeks through The Italian Riviera, Cinque Terre and the medieval towns and villages of Tuscany. From the artistic point of view it was an amazing adventure and I must admit that I was overwhelmed by the beauty of the land and townscapes. So much so that I sometimes felt a kind of painter’s block, like writers often have. Every place we visited was worth a thousand paintings, at least!
And very recently (October 2014), I have visited the town of Bergamo in Lombardy: a feast for all my senses and very appealing to my artist’s eyes!

These paintings of Italy are available directly online as Giclee print in many different dimensions, on paper, canvas or metal, and also as greeting cards.
